Hey Everyone! We are back again with another gear review for boxing gloves.Today, we are posting about the Rival RB10 Boxing Gloves, and we have to say that these gloves are one of the top pairs that we have tried out to date.
As always, we review with a scale that we use internally known as the Graveyard Scale (here). This is a scale that we use to help us rate the gear that we get our hands on from 1 – 10. We are giving these Rival Boxing Gloves a 9.3 out of 10 on the Graveyard Scale and rating this boxing glove as the best boxing glove for bag work on the market right now.
From the moment we got our hands on this glove, we knew that these were some of the best gloves we now owned. They are extremely comfortable on the inside, aesthetically pleasing, with lots of colors to choose from, and built with durability and quality in mind.
Not to mention, the gloves come with some of the best wrist support for boxing gloves that rival the Hayabusa T3 (review) that we personally rave for.
Reminder: We have been on a mission to help people find the best boxing gloves under $200. Our goal is to review a list that consists of 12 more pairs that we were told to try from the Reddit community r/fightgear.
Overview of the Rival RB10 Boxing Gloves
We’ve put these gloves through the wringer—both in-house and via our independent testers—and they’ve earned their spot at #2 on our Best Boxing Gloves list. The only knock is price: they’re currently about $224 on Amazon, just above the sub-$200 range we aimed for when we started building the list. Still, the performance justifies the premium.
Want something comparable for a bit less? Try the Hayabusa T3 (review). It delivers a similar mix of knuckle protection and rock-solid wrist support at a slightly friendlier price, sitting at $150.
Bottom line: these gloves are outstanding—easily among the best we’ve tested. Only the Mk1 Boxing Gloves outrank them, and that’s largely because the Mk1s are lace-ups, making them ideal for serious amateurs and pros (full Mk1 review coming soon). If you want top-tier performance with the convenience of hook-and-loop closure, this pair is hard to beat.

Pros
- Best Boxing Gloves for Bag Work
- D3O® shock tech: absorbs ~40 % more impact than standard super-bag gloves
- V-Strap Wrist-Lock for some of the best wrist support on boxing gloves
- Tough but lightweight
- Air flow is high because of the mesh, so heat escapes well
Cons
- Slightly higher price point than we originally set out for the list we crafted ($224)
From the moment we got our hands on this glove, we knew that these were some of the best gloves we now owned. They are extremely comfortable on the inside, aesthetically pleasing, with lots of colors to choose from, and built with durability and quality in mind.
We are giving these Rival Boxing Gloves a 9.5 out of 10 on the Graveyard Scale.
- Comfortability
- Excellent Wrist Support
- Perfect for Bag Work
Quality & Feel (1.9/2)
Once you put on the Rival RB10s and you’ll notice how the lightweight micro-fibre shell feels both tough and airy, while the padding swallows big shots but still lets you hear that satisfying thwack. The V-Strap wrist lock cinches in like a firm handshake, keeping your wrists supported even after endless rounds. Add the mesh vents and you’ve got gloves that stay cool, comfy, and ready for as many bag sessions as you are.
- Cushy shock-absorbing foam that still delivers crisp feedback
- Secure, ventilated fit and very wrist-friendly
Protection (3/3)
Throw your hardest combos, and the RB10’s shock gel spreads the force so your knuckles never feel the brunt. The angled cuff and V-Strap act like a built-in wrist brace, locking everything into a safe, neutral position even when fatigue sets in. Top it off with a dense back-hand layer and you’ve got a mini bunker that keeps your hands fresh for the next round.
- Impact-adaptive D3O® padding soaks up heavy shots without going stiff
- Secure, brace-like cuff keeps wrists aligned and injury-free
Price
We tried to cap our “best gloves” list at the $200 mark, but the RB10s sit closer to $230–$240. After half of r/fightgear swore they were worth every penny, we caved—and they really do feel like a tier above most sub-$200 options. If you can stomach the extra twenty bucks, you’re getting near-pro quality without paying Winning-level money.

Above-budget price tag (~$30 over our target)
Weight
Rival skips the usual ounce labels and sells these gloves by fit instead:
- Small ≈ 8 oz
- Medium ≈ 10 oz
- Large ≈ 12 oz
- XL ≈ 14–16 oz
If you’re buying them for sparring, do your partner (and your hands) a favor and grab the Large or XL—anything lighter is really meant for bag work or mitt drills.
Our Final Rating For the Rival RB10 Boxing Gloves ( 9.5 / 10 )
Alternatives and Recommendations
- Best Overall Boxing Gloves [Pros & Amateurs]: MK1 Boxing Gloves (review)
- Next Best Option on a Lower Budget Option: Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves (review)
Cost and Value
They’re about $30 over the usual $200 ceiling, but that premium gets you better padding, a brace-like cuff, and build quality that’ll outlast cheaper gloves by a long shot. If you hit the bag multiple times a week and want near-protection without paying for Winning money, the RB10s are worth it.
