It’s been a while since our last review on the website and YouTube channel—almost four months! A lot has changed in my personal life over this time, but we’re back on track and ready to bring you consistent reviews again.

We recently partnered with the team at Hayabusa Fightwear, who sent us the T3 boxing gloves to test out. As always, our review process is detailed on our website (Graveyard Scale) where we break down every piece of fight gear using our established criteria. This marks the fourth pair of training gloves we’ve reviewed so far, but it’s our first pair of boxing-specific gloves.

In the past, we have reviewed the Hayabusa Boxing Headgear (review) and the Shin guards (review) and gave both of these pieces of equipment a high rating. These gloves really meshed well with what we had previously bought and were excited to get our hands on the product.

From the first look, these gloves stand out as exceptional, and after thorough testing, we can confidently say they’re an amazing product! Let’s dive into our full review of the Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves.

Overview of the Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves

Unboxing these gloves was honestly awesome. I had some family over at my place, and even they couldn’t help but comment on how great these gloves looked.

The first time I put them on, I was shocked at how good they felt inside. The inner lining has this velvet-like material that feels amazing on bare hands—a really nice surprise and unlike any gloves I’ve tried before.

Plus, the color options and styles they offer on their website are a huge bonus.

The design, the leather material, and the overall quality truly impressed me and even got my family saying these are some of the best boxing gloves out there.

Until I get my hands on more pairs, I’d honestly say these set a high bar. Let’s dive into a more detailed breakdown.

  • The Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves are a high-quality product. They are designed for boxing and provide excellent protection and support.

Quality & Feel (2/2)

  • The ergonomic inner pocket is designed to provide a perfect fit for the hand.

  • The customizable closure ensures a secure and comfortable fit.

  • The pocket is designed to keep the hand properly aligned and protected.

  • The gloves have a microfiber suede covering on the thumb for wiping sweat.

  • The inner lining is comfortable and has antibacterial properties.

Protection ( 2.75/3)

Overall, the protection felt from using these gloves on bags feels nice. The gloves I have are the 14 oz gloves and overall I am pleased with how they feel on my hands. There were a couple of times I left with some irritation on my knuckles but that was mainly on the days I was hitting the bags without my wraps.

  • Wrist support and full knuckle protection is excellent here

  • Will need hand wraps to protect your knuckles if you plan on sparring or training more seriously

Price (2.25/3)

  • The price point for these gloves is higher sitting at $199

  • The quality and Price ratio here is great. I think these are well worth the price you pay

Weight (2/2)

  • Hayabusa boxing gloves come with plenty of options to choose from in the weight category

  • 14 oz gloves still leave me feeling athletic when I am getting rounds in on the bag

Final Rating For the Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves (9/10)

Overall, we believe the Hayabusa T3 boxing gloves are the best you can buy under $200. They stand out as some of the highest-quality gloves we’ve ever owned, and we’re eager to test more products against the benchmark Hayabusa has set. While we’ve only trained with these for a few weeks and can’t yet speak conclusively on their longevity, we have no immediate concerns. Still, durability is something we’ll continue to monitor and reassess over time.

Comparison to Other Hayabusa Gloves

The Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves are definitely a premium product, and they come with a higher price tag to match. I’d say they’re geared more toward advanced athletes or those who take their training seriously—these aren’t just your average gloves. They’re a popular choice among professional boxers, which speaks volumes about their quality and performance.

I haven’t tried other boxing gloves from Hayabusa yet, but the T3s really deliver in terms of protection and support. They’re built to handle intense training, making them a solid option for anyone looking to up their game with a quality pair of gloves.

Alternatives and Recommendations

If you’re looking for a high-quality glove similar to the Hayabusa T3, the Hayabusa T3 LX Boxing Gloves are a solid option. This option is still on the higher-end side but looks to be a step above the T3.

Another great alternative is the Cleto Reyes Hook-and-Loop Training Gloves. They’re ideal for those who want a glove packed with advanced features and boxing technology. Both of these alternatives offer a balance of performance and comfort, making them worthwhile options to consider if you’re after top-notch gloves that are comparable to the T3s.
