Today we are reviewing the Venum Elite Boxing Gloves. We gave this pair of boxing gloves an 8.55/10 using our scale. We based it on quality, protection, price, and factors like design.
I have been on a mission to find the best boxing gloves under $200. I went to popular subreddit forums like r/fightgear to try to find the answer for finding the best gloves but only got met wit options that were $200 to $500 in price.

Overall, for the price I paid, I’m comfortable saying these were probably the best boxing gloves I’ve bought under $200. While Hayabusa still stands out for certain features compared to other brands, I found the Venum Elite Boxing Gloves to be the perfect middle ground I was looking for.
Yes, Venum’s Elite Boxing Gloves do come with a higher price tag of around $100, but in my experience, they’ve earned it. They have solid padding and impressive durability—mine still looked nearly brand new after a few weeks of heavy use. And if you read other reviews online, you’ll find people reporting they hold up for years, right down to the seams. If you want gloves that can really go the distance, these are a solid choice.
Venum has never really disappointed me. I’ve tried their boxing headgear (review) and some of their MMA gloves (review), and the quality is consistently good across all their products. One thing I really love about these boxing gloves—apart from the overall quality—is the attention to detail in the design. It might not matter to everyone, but I appreciate the embroidered touches that come with all their gear.

They’re really comfortable to wear—maybe not quite as cushy as my Hayabusas when I first tried them on, but definitely more comfy than the Everlast Prostyle 2. I like that there’s a breathable section on the palm that helps keep my hands from getting too sweaty. The material feels solid yet smooth, and there’s a nice embroidered design on the wrist that adds a cool touch. Overall, they strike a good balance of comfort and style.

One thing I really appreciate about these gloves is how well they protect your hands without adding a ton of bulk.
The padding is pretty close to the same level as the Hayabusas (review) but is definitely more substantial than the Everlast Prostyle 2 (review). During heavy bag sessions, my knuckles feel secure and the wrist support is decent enough that I’m not too worried about injuring myself. Plus, the breathable panel on the palm helps keep things from getting too sweaty over longer workouts. All in all, they do a nice job balancing comfort, durability, and protection.

These gloves are available in a range of weights (usually from 12 to 16 oz), and I’ve found the 14 oz size to be comfortable without feeling too heavy on the hands. Compared to Hayabusas, they’re a bit less bulky, and they definitely offer more protection than something like the Everlast Prostyle 2. They strike a good balance between mobility and cushioning, letting you train hard without feeling weighed down.
