Hey Everyone! We are back again with another gear review. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the CORE Short Sleeve Compression Rash Guard the Model Zero Short Sleeve Rash Guard and a variation that for some reason, we could not find on thier site . Since Sanabul has a lot of different rash guards for us to test out we plan on making this post the hub for ALL Sanabul rash guards that we review.
Unlike heavier gear categories where we use the full Graveyard Scale (1–10), rash guards and shorts are evaluated with our Simple Verdict System. These items usually have subtle differences that don’t justify hard numerical scoring, so this framework keeps reviews easy to read and more helpful for everyday athletes.
Reminder: We are on a mission to help people find the best combat sports gear across categories. We share a lot of our thoughts on gear in the following Reddit communities r/fightgear, r/grapplersgraveyard, r/bjj and r/jiujitsu so be sure to be a part of those communities.

Overview of the Sanabul Rash Guards
The Sanabul rash guards left me feeling pretty lukewarm overall.
They’re affordable, comfortable, and surprisingly durable for the price, and I did appreciate the breathable underarm panels on a couple models that was a thoughtful design touch you don’t see often. But nothing about these rash guards really stands out in a crowded market.
The fit and performance were solid, but the designs felt plain, and that sticky elastic liner on some versions just wasn’t for me. They get the job done for everyday training and are absolutely worth it if you’re on a budget, but if you care about style, premium feel, or something that genuinely elevates your training experience, there are better options out there.
Video Reviews:
Pros
- Very Affordable (Only $34.99)
- Breathable area under the underarms
- Lots of color way options to choose from
Cons
- Not a fan of the sticky elastic way liner on some models
- Nothing really separates these rashguards so I am kinda lukewarm on the design and feel

Category Breakdown
Fit & Comfort
Ultimately the rash guards that we tried out from Sanabul did do a pretty good job at keeping us feeling mobile and not really having any restrictive design choices when we were rolling, drilling, and putting our bodies through long training sessions.
What I do love about two pairs of the rash guards is that they had a breathable area for the underarms. It did feel pretty nice to be able to roll with a little bit of breathability under the arms where irritation could kind of come up. If the underarm area is a little too tight it could create some tension and some rashes, but with the breathability aspect of these rash guards thought that was a really cool touch on their part.
- Comfy to wear no complaints on the feel of the product. Not too thin or see through.
- Breathable underarm
Performance (Sweat Management or Mobility)
Most rash guards aren’t going to be able to ultimately wick off most of the sweat.
We do sweat pretty heavily but at the end of the day the rash guards from Sanabul did feel breathable throughout the rolling and training that the gear was put through. Didn’t make us feel overheated. The rash guards created a good overall feeling while performing on the mats. So no complaints in the performance sector of this review.

Durability & Materials
In our current training regimen these rash guards don’t really see the light of day because we have some better ones that we ultimately wear. But while we were testing these products we’ll say it was very durable and the material feel on the body didn’t feel too cheap.
It wasn’t anything to be super wowed by but ultimately it was still good enough to get the job done. We’ve had these rash guards for about two years now and really have no complaints in terms of the long-lasting ability of these rash guards.
Design & Value
we’ve said it pretty much throughout this entire review. Sanabul doesn’t necessarily win in the category of design in our personal opinion. They have some options that you can choose from that ultimately we did not go with when we got these rash cards.
Most of the rash cards that we have are pretty simple – not anything crazy in terms of design. So if you’re looking for something that has big design value, we would definitely suggest going with another brand over Sanabul
Final Verdict for theSanabul Rash Guards
Verdict:
Solid Choice for the most part
- I think they are very afforable
- There are better design choices to go with if you care about style
- Will last a solid amount of time
Would I Buy It Again?
Maybe
- I think at the end of the day the gear gets the job done. If you are looking for a cost effective option that will last you a decent amount of time, its a solid choice. I am not TOO excited about these rash guards and feel lukewarm about them in general.

Cost and Value
Honestly I think it’s pretty fairly priced for the type of product that you’re ultimately going to buy. Price does match ultimately the performance. It lasts a pretty long time. Haven’t had any issues from a quality standpoint. But ultimately it does feel a little lackluster from the design department in that sense. It’s pretty plain but overall gets the job done.
