Sanabul Battle Forged Lether Boxing Glove Review

sanabul battle forged boxing glove review

Hey Everyone! We are back again with another gear review for boxing gloves Sanabul Battle Forged Lether Boxing Glove. If you guys have been following along, we have bene on a journey to find the best boxing gloves under $200. We could not find recommendations doing our own researching process so we went ahead and bought gloves to make it for everyone.

We are aiming to make our list consist of 13 to 15 pairs of boxing gloves.

As always, we review with a scale that we use internally known as the Graveyard Scale (here) this is a scale that we use to help us rate the gear that we get our hands on from 1 – 10. On the Graveyard Scale, we gave the Battle Forged Lether boxing gloves a 7.7 out of 10.

If you’ve checked out our rankings, we were pretty harsh on our last pair of Sanabul gloves (Essential Gel Review), so naturally, we wanted to buy another pair to see if they had better products. By no surprise, these gloves are significantly better than the previous pair we tried, but they still did not meet some of the criteria we usually look for in good gloves.

Right now, they are ranked just above the RDX Sports Boxing Gloves and sit at number 5 on the list. The exterior and interior feel of these gloves is pretty solid. The inside is super comfortable, which definitely gave them a boost in our eyes. However, this glove lacks the “squishy” padding that some other gloves on the market offer, and it generally provides mid-grade wrist protection.

Here is the running list we have put together with the corresponding score:

Best Boxing Gloves List

  1. Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves (Review) – 9.0 / 10

  2. Top King Boxing Gloves (Review) – 8.8 / 10

  3. Fairtex Boxing Gloves BGV16 (Review) – 8.8 / 10

  4. Venum Elite Boxing Gloves (Review) – 8.55 / 10

  5. Sanabul Battle Forged Boxing Gloves (Review) – 7.7 / 10

  6. RDX Sports Boxing Gloves (Review) – 7.6 / 10

  7. Sanabul Essential Gel Boxing Gloves (Review) – 6.2 / 10

  8. Everlast Boxing Glove [ProStyle 2] (Review) – 5 / 10

Overview of the Sanabul Battle Forged Boxing Gloves

To be completely fair, we didn’t compare these gloves to the higher-tier gloves on our list. This is an average boxing glove choice, so no one should be confused about our stance on how we feel about them (looking at you, Reddit warriors).

These gloves are definitely a step in the right direction for Sanabul, though, and I like them much more than the Essential Gel Boxing Gloves. Later in this post, we’ll compare the two gloves a bit more, so if anyone reading this decides to go with these gloves, they’ll at least know how they stack up against another popular pair under that $200 price point.

Pros

  • $49.99 on Amazon; excellent gloves for the price you pay

  • Very comfortable interior

  • Premium Quality leather on the exterior of the glove

  • Way better than the Sanabul Essential Gel Boxing Gloves (Review)

Cons

  • Stiff cushioning on the knuckle padding compared to other top gloves on the list

  • Mid-tier wrist support

Quality & Feel (2/2)

Overall, the quality is fine for these gloves—nothing bad, but nothing to rave about. I really liked how they felt when I first put them on because they’re super comfortable on the inside. It felt like my hand had enough room. The only issue I had was that the thumb area felt a bit tight and uncomfortable.

  • Very comfortable on the inside of the gloves

  • Quality material and perfectly vented as they allow my hands to breathe and not sweat as much

Protection (1.3/3)

The knuckle padding on these gloves isn’t the best I’ve tried. I’d say that’s the main reason they got bumped down on the list. At the end of the day, these gloves are only $50, so you kind of get what you pay for.

Overall, they’re not my favorite in terms of protection and padding, but they’re not the worst of the bunch.

  • The main positive is they offer some decent padding, the fist area is decently padded so I guess these could be good for some light bag work

Price

For the price, these are a pretty solid pair of boxing gloves. They should last you a decent amount of time and, truthfully, get the job done.

The Battle Forged Boxing Gloves are great for those who want to begin their striking practice and plan on sticking around longer than a true beginner. I’d feel comfortable recommending these to someone on a low budget who’s just starting out.

  • $49.99 on Amazon; really good gloves for the price you pay

  • Very comfortable interior

  • Premium Quality leather on the exterior of the glove

Weight / Cushioning

Weight options are plentiful here with these gloves. They were very easy to purchase being that Sanabul is both on Amazon and has a large reputable site. Although the cushioning on these gloves is mid they are super comfortable to wear. Whatever material is on the inside is awesome to feel on your hands.

Final Rating For the Sanabul Battle Forged Boxing Gloves (7.7/10)

Overall, I liked these gloves over the handful of gloves that I have in the middle range of our list. Anything between an 8 and 7 is something I feel comfortable spending money on as a beginner-type glove and this is honestly at best where I would out these. At the end of the day, they are $50 so there is a low entry here for those that are looking to venture into the sport to begin with.

Alternatives and Recommendations

  • Higher Budget: Top King Boxing Gloves (Review), Fairtex BGV16 Boxing Gloves (Review), or go for Hayabusa T3 Boxing Gloves (review)

  • Next Best Upgrade: Venum Elite Boxing Gloves (Review)

Sanabul Battle Forged Boxing Gloves vs Sanabul Essential Gel Boxing Gloves

If you’re looking to grab Sanabul products because they’re cheap, go with the Battle Forged Boxing Gloves over the other options. We tried out the Essential Gel and wouldn’t recommend them. Save yourself time and money and just get the better entry-level pair of boxing gloves they offer.

Cost and Value

You basically get what you pay for here. They’re entry-level boxing gloves with decent-quality leather on the outside but an above-average feel on the inside. The padding is nothing special, but it’s not the worst we’ve seen.
