How often are you evaluating yourself? If you want to change for the better, it will be a lifelong journey that never ends. There is no better way to live.
Change is Never Easy
Jiu Jitsu and Martial Arts are great catalysts for change. Whoever you are in the real world does not matter when you step foot on those mats. You have a blank slate. You decide who you be by the effort you decide to put into the craft. No one will judge you unless you are a bad training partner.
Struggle forward. Pain and struggle are great ways to accelerate the process of change. With positive influences within the gym pushing you to your limits, in no time you will turn the pain and struggle into strength.
Overcome your mental hurdles. We all suffer from some kind of blockage. Regardless of who you are, where you come from, or what kind of upbringing you have, we are all human. Be kind to yourself by eliminating negative self-talk. Changing the environment or who you are around will uplift you to new heights.
Start With Why
Discovering a ‘WHY’ or finding a purpose has been the number one thing in our lives that has changed them for the better. This can be anything. Your ‘WHY’ is yours. No one else’s.
Find something bigger than just you. There are so many things you can fuel by… a pure desire to better yourself and the lives of others are more than enough reason to do something great.
People may Not Like the New You
Change scares people, that’s why the majority never change. You decided to become the best version of yourself if you are here. You will no longer be like the majority as you start training.
People you are closest to may say things like, “I like you just the way you are, never change.” Misery loves company. They may be family, a significant other, or a best friend it does not matter. You must transcend and go beyond your limits. The ultimate way to show you care about someone is to actualize the best version of yourself and be reliable when they need you.
Have ambition, take action, and be audacious enough to believe in yourself.
Take things seriously if you want to win.
We have no idea where you came in today. Maybe ultra-confident or not. Out of shape or going through a hard time. You may have aspirations to be a top-level athlete. It is on you to change the story. Change that narrative, flip the page, and become a greater version.
